Old Think Gum Boxes Put to Good Use

A couple of years ago we phased out Think Gum display boxes containing 2-piece pouches.  At the time we happened to have a few extra boxes laying around so we found an unconventional use for them.  The Think Gum boxes were put to very good use during the Pasadena Earth and Arts Festival on April 20, 2013.  In the project “Pop-up Collage Landscape Cards”, children used the boxes as a base to create sculptural collages using various materials including photos from magazines, tissue paper, markers, paint, and even feathers. There were over 1,200 participants in the various Armory art workshops from a total festival audience of about 5,000.
